Channel Islands, Pyzel, Lost, Sharp Eye, Chris Christenson Surfboards and more are now available for custom orders. Orders can be placed from 10 weeks out, pricing starts as low as $640 US and your custom boards can be delivered and waiting in your uma prior to your arrival. We also have Future/FCS fins, traction pads, wax, sunblock, board bags and everything related to a Kandui Resort surf trip in our Kandui Surf Shop. The surfboards and accessories are what All Day Ray and our staff use daily and we always say "You can order what you think works best in the Mentawais or you can ride what we use every day".
THE IDEAL KANDUI RESORT QUIVER
The Mentawais are drastically different than the rest of the world’s waves and having the right quiver is key to the success of your trip. We’ve seen countless Kandui Resort trips not go as planned based solely to the wrong surfboards. The most important thing anyone can do with a prospective surf trip is to reach out to resort’s management to ensure you're bringing the right boards. The Mentawais are renowned for fun size surf and the vast majority of waves you surf during a Kandui Resort trip are typically between shoulder high to overhead. Mentawai waves are some for most perfect waves on earth and catching waves here is substantially easier than most locations. Long, larger boards (similar to what you ride in Hawaii) are typically unnecessary here and we’ve broken out our suggested quiver into 3 different surfboards. - All Day Ray
